Helping others has always been deeply rewarding for me. What drives and motivates me is knowing that I can make a real difference in people’s lives. When I made the decision to start a NDIS business, I understood the challenges ahead—but I also had the passion, insight, and first-hand experience to meet them head-on.

Having previously worked in NDIS plan management; I supported both clients and service providers on a daily basis. This experience gave me a clear understanding of the gaps within the system, and I became determined to build a service that addressed those gaps with care, reliability, and respect. I witnessed the impact that a lack of support and guidance could have on families—how it left them feeling helpless and overwhelmed. I was committed to changing that.

This journey hasn’t been easy, but my determination never wavered. I wasn’t just building a business—I was creating something meaningful and impactful for families who needed real support. I saw too many participants receive funding without understanding how to use it effectively to improve their quality of life. I wanted to change that narrative.

My mission has always been to promote advocacy, be a voice for those who feel unheard, and empower NDIS participants with the knowledge and support they need to navigate their plans with confidence. Today, alongside an incredible team of dedicated women, I’m proud to see that vision become a reality.

At the heart of our work are personalised care plans tailored to the unique needs of each client. For us, success isn’t measured by the number of clients we serve—it’s measured by the lives we help change for the better.

I chose to become an aged care and support worker because I genuinely care about people and want to make a difference in their lives—especially those who are often overlooked or vulnerable. There's something incredibly meaningful about being able to support someone not just physically, but emotionally and socially as well.

Working in aged care allows me to build real, lasting connections with individuals. I get to listen to their stories, learn from their experiences, and help them maintain their dignity and independence as they age. It’s a privilege to be part of someone’s everyday life, especially during a time when they may feel isolated or need extra care and attention.

What I love most about this work is the opportunity to bring comfort, respect, and a sense of normalcy into people’s lives. Whether it’s assisting with personal care, sharing a conversation, or simply being a steady and trusted presence—I know that what I do matters.

This role gives me purpose. It challenges me, teaches me, and rewards me in ways no other job ever has. That’s why I chose this path—and why I’m proud to walk it every day.

Being Samoan, my culture is deeply rooted in values like respect, care for elders, service, and strong family connections. These values are not just traditions—they are a way of life, and they naturally guide the way I approach my work in aged care and support.

In Samoan culture, we are taught from a young age to honor and care for our elders. They are the foundation of our families and showing them respect and kindness is not a chore—it’s a privilege. That same mindset carries into the way I care for every client. Whether they are from my culture or not, I treat them with the same dignity, patience, and love I would show my own family.

Support work, to me, is more than just helping with daily tasks. It's about building relationships, offering compassion, and being present in someone’s life. My culture has taught me to lead with heart, to listen without judgment, and to serve with humility—and I bring all of that into my work every single day.

I’m proud to blend my cultural values with my professional role. It’s what gives my work depth and meaning, and it’s why I’m so passionate about supporting others with care and respect.

Aged care is more than a job to me—it's calling. And that’s why I’m so passionate about aged care.

Aged care is more than a job to me—it's a calling. I’m passionate about working in this field because I believe that every older person deserves dignity, compassion, and genuine connection, especially in the later chapters of life.

Many elderly individuals have spent their lives caring for others—raising families, contributing to their communities, and building the world we live in today. Being able to support them in return is an incredible honor. I love hearing their stories, learning from their wisdom, and simply being there for them, especially when they may feel forgotten or alone.

What drives me most is the opportunity to make a real difference, even in small moments—a smile, a conversation, or helping someone feel safe and respected. In aged care, it’s the little things that matter deeply.

This work keeps me grounded, grateful, and inspired every single day. It reminds me of the importance of patience, empathy, and human connection. And that’s why I’m so passionate about aged care.

Deciding on my career path was an easy decision.  I wanted a career that was more than just a job—I wanted purpose. I realised that what truly fulfilled me was helping people in meaningful, personal ways. That’s what drew me to support work.

I’ve always had a strong sense of empathy and a desire to make a difference in people’s lives. Support work allows me to do exactly that. Whether it’s assisting someone with daily tasks, helping them maintain their independence, or simply being a consistent, caring presence in their life—it all matters. And being part of someone’s journey in such a direct and human way is incredibly rewarding.

When I started studying nursing, I was passionate about helping people and making a difference in their lives. But as I progressed in my studies, I realized that what I was most drawn to wasn’t the clinical side—it was the personal connections. I found myself most engaged and fulfilled when working directly with people, hearing their stories, and providing hands-on support that truly impacted their daily lives.

That’s what led me to aged care and support work. I saw an opportunity to focus on what mattered most to me: building relationships, offering emotional support, and being there in the moments that really count. In aged care, I get to be present, compassionate, and make a difference every single day—not just through medical care, but through kindness, patience, and genuine human connection.

Choosing this path felt natural. It allowed me to step into a role where I could immediately begin supporting others while continuing to grow and learn in a way that aligns with my values. I may not have finished my nursing degree, but I’ve found a career that feels just as meaningful—if not more so.
